Another food question, I just recently began giving Nira superworms. She gets maybe 4 or 5 every third day. She is a hair under 16 in and I'm hearing that if she isn't bigger than this there is a huge risk of impaction due to a "kink" that is in there intestines. Is this true? Does the size of the worm matter?

Thanks

Another old wives tale - firstly superworms bend and secondly if they can digest the chitin from roaches without trouble whey can't they digest a semi-soft grub! I would say however that these should not be used as a staple but more as a treat as most grubs are fattening.
Keep feeding but in moderation. :)

No problem - as long as people take notice of our answers we don't mind how many questions get asked!
