I got a young dragon about 2 weeks ago. He about 5 months old but he not eating a lot he eats about 3 to 4 locusts per day I want get him on crickets but when I put crickets in the viv he ignores them or they hide then he cant find them. Or he is not quick enough to catch them. He also wont touch the salad I give him each day he just spreads around in the sand. How can I get him to eat more. Also can I give tomatoes
thanks

As I said elsewhere he will be off food for a few days until he's settled down. As for feeding veg this is a good list of foods you can and can't feed them http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html . Many dragons don't take to veg especially if the breeder never started them on veg originally, however if you put a small bowl of fresh veg in early every day then hold his live food back until mid morning he should start nibbling on it. Dragons seem to get easily addicted to locusts and have trouble changing to anything else but if you put your crix in the fridge for afew minutes first (this slows them down) he may start hunting them. The alternative is to switch him to roaches which most dragons love.

spike has eaten a lot better today I put the crickets in the fridge for 10mins he could catch them. He had about 5 and 1 locust this morning. I have just fed him again 3 locust this time. Still wont touch his salad but can I feed the bugs greens. At least then he getting some veg, someone told me today not to give him spinach. can I give him green peppers and cucumber, I think I going to try spring cabbage. Can I give him brocoly what other green veg can he have and what fruit can he have

Check the link I gave you in my earlier post. It answers all your questions plus some.
