Hi, I am just wondering is there any way that I can feed my Beardie without putting the crickets in the viv?? The only reason I ask is it's fiddly trying to get them out at bed time before lights out as I don't like leaving them in there with Wrex (plus it's recommended not to leave live foods in the viv while he sleeps). Any advice, hints or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can use a large plastic box, something like a large toy box would be good, to feed him in. We used to use a small spare viv, just have a look around at what you have in the house that can be 'recycled' :P

That's a fantastic idea!! Thank-you so much, I didn't even think of using a toy box, so cheap to pick up too, again many thanks :D

Feed Dubai Roaches instead :P

I found that my Beardie Tia wont eat unless she is in her viv so the tub idea didnt work for me.

The tub idea kind of worked but he lost interest as it is too smooth for him to grip, maybe a little sand paper then smoothing will work??

Have you tried feeding him outside his viv, in a washing up bowl for example? That way he can see the crickets more easily and you can be sure how many he is eating.

My girl will eat where ever , if i bring the locust box and the glass is open she jumps out of her viv and scratches the box lol,but i try to avoid this as she will set her sights on one and wont eat any other until she gets that one,i have also fed her on the floor, she seemed to enjoy this as i would throw a locust where she had to run to get it so she got exaercise aswell ,how ever my boy wont eat unless he is in his viv :?
