Hi everyone! :)
I really love my beardies and am looking for a female to join my family. Ideally, I don't want her older than a year (1yr maximum), somewhere around the 6-8month mark. She'd be coming to a wonderful home to a brand-new setup and will be spoiled rotten 8)
I am located in the Milton Keynes area (UK) so I don't really want to travel much more than a 20mile radius for her (with all the fuel issues these days "tut-tut").
I know that I might be being over-specific, but I am very negotiable and will look into anything so please let me know if you know of anything!
Thanks :P
- K

Hi K
Had you planned to co habit the beardies? You will find its not a very good idea and could potentailly be dangerous.

Beardies are solitary animals only really coming together in the breeding season where the males very roughly mate with the females. Two males will fight ferociously and to the death and females will fight for the best food and egg laying sites so are not much better. Before i got my beardie she was kept with her sister ... they fought badly and her sibling lost her tail and leg and died from her injuries.

You will find its very much the exception to the rule that beardies get on well and introducing to an already solitary animal is taking a big risk.

If you plan to keep them all seperate then thats great, lets hope someone thinking of co habitating reads my post and avoids a potentailly dangerous situation.

BTW im in Aulesbury and if your ever in the area let me know and i can sort you out some Dubia Roaches if you wish :D
