Well Axl the iguana decided to make a mess of his foot over the weekend. :(
So £127.00 for the emergency consultation and 2 injections on Monday night (home at 02.30 and £10.00 taxi) then a trip to the specialist yesterday to have the toe removed and hand reset grand total of £303.56 so far and counting.
How glad am I, I took the insurance out as that is 3 year worth of insurance in 24 hour.
Any way the out come is going to be several trips to the specialist, £35.00 (much better than over £300.00) excess and one very tender iguana and a very sore vet.
Do not put finger near iguana mouth whilst sticking needle in his bottom you will bleed badly

Not a clue we saw a little blood and though nothing of it as Sam court his nail a bit short on Sunday night, so we though it was this.
When I got him out the bath on Monday night I notice it was a mess, one of the problems with axl is prior to coming to us he smashed his shoulder so his hand naturally lies under his body so you can't see it, I think he did it late Sunday
He does look funny with his hand strapped up like a boxer

Oh - poor thing! And so lucky you took out insurance!

Will the vet ever see him again?

Morning Trish we have to go back Tuesday if we have no issues with it (he has already pulled the bandage off last night although this is not a big issue) for the doc to check the stitches then back 6 weeks after that.
After administering the pain relief and antibiotics last night I think it will be me going to the vets before this over.
Axl seams to be loving it as gets carried around and getting turkey and chicken mixed with his veg (big treat)
