Hi,
Luna is now 1yr 5m we have noticed over time she never completely shuts her mouth. When she eats and pulls her tougne in there's is a small gap and when she is just chilling about it is slightly open with the tip of her tounge poking out. In general she is very healthy, she eats well (all food is calci dusted)and enjoys a wander outside and around our living room. Any suggestions as to why she is doing this would be greatly appreciated. Image
Many thanks,
Em & Dan

Not something I've seen before - almost looks as if there's a slight curve to her lower jaw. I assume that you're changing her UV light regularly? If not it could be early signs of metabolic bone disease (quite curable with calcium injections and extra UV exposure). Otherwise I can't help. If you press under her chin does the gap close - it could just be a lazy dragon!!

Rick

Yes we do regularly change the UV light (6 montly), I have brought a longer one so there is more coverage in the vivarium. No it doesn't seem to completely close it's difficult to try as she does not always put her tounge away ! I've booked an appointment with my vet as if it is MBD I want to treat early... Thanks for your reply :)
