Is there a deadline for this survey Rick? Spikey is due a 'big clean' soon so I was going to weigh her at the same time. However she has been racing around her viv scratching the walls for the last week so there is a chance she may be laying some infertile eggs soon and obviously this will effect her weight. Does it matter?

Hi stranger - deadline is 16th March so you've got a bit of time yet. How are you all going and is Spikey behaving and being friendlier these days?

Hello, i've not had chance to get on the forum for ages, have been too busy running around after a 10 month old! I'm back at work on Wednesday too so i'll be even busier. :?

Spikey is the same. She behaves a lot better in the viv and will bask and run around, however, as soon as you open the viv door or look her way she ducks and hides. She'll take wax worms out of my hand still but that's the limit. She's very poor at being handled though and it stresses her out so much i've just left her to it. She's quite happy in her viv in her own space but gets very stressed and stripey/dark at human contact.

I haven't had any time to push it with having a baby too, so do feel i'm neglecting her a bit but at the same time i've had her nearly two years now and she's not made much progress. The more I push it the more stressed she gets. I don't want her to get stressed so i've decided it's easier for both of us just to let her have her own space with minimal contact.

If she's happy then it's not worth the stress trying to change her at this point. She's come a long way from the over stressed scared girl you started with thanks to your patience so I'm glad that she has settled into a routine that you both can accept. Bubs can keep you busy at that age but just wait 'til you hit the terrible two's !! Good to hear you're all well.

Rick :D

On no, I thought it was the 26th march! I'm late. I've just done my big clean. I couldn't do it any earlier as I needed my other half to look after the baby whilst I did it. I've weighed Spikey and she's 525g! I weighed a box, then put her in a box and weighed the difference so it is accurate as she was all on the scales. I'm quite shocked because I was expecting her to be underweight. She doesn't eat massive amounts. I haven't weighed her for over a year, on 06/12/11 she was 478g but that was at the end of her post egg laying build up.

She's female and approx 2.5-3 years old

I'll pass the information on to Shane to add to his record. Once the results have all been formulated I'll see that they get posted here.

Shane was having software problems collating all the info. Hopefully it'll be solved soon and results will be available.
