Previously I was working at home, so usually got to clean up before anything bad happened. About 6 weeks ago I got a new job, so I'm out from 715am to 430pm, and my dragon usually goes around 11am.

She goes in the same spot, on a piece of paper towel that i place there. But because she goes by the glass, when she dances across the door she smears it *everywhere* - cakes herself in it too, so I have to scrub the viv and all the decor really frequently.

Is there anyway around this? Can you adjust the time they need to go, or any other tips for this? I read someone say to get them in the bath first, but I can't do that because I'm not at home. She has pretty much gone at this time since I first got her at 4 months, and she's now over a year old.

I had mine on a mixture of sand and sandstone. He always preferred going in a sandy spot, so I could encourage him to go somewhere specific by moving where the sandy patches where.
In your case you could try putting an object where she'd usually go and see what she does then? Otherwise I'm not sure. But speaking from experience, if you haven't already, get her checked for parasites. Just as a precaution. If she has some, covering herself in poop will make the problem much worse.
As for the when, I have no advice on that I'm afraid.

As Matt said it's not something that is easily sorted - follow his advice about placing an object in the way and move the paper to a different spot. Let us know if this helps.

Thanks guys. I did block it off before work this morning, but typically she hasn't been today!

Ok she went today, not on the paper towel but in the area next to where I blocked it off.

Sounds promising - you may just have to block off areas over time to get her to go in somewhere convenient for you.

I suppose the question is, did it get spread everywhere?

No because I was home on the weekend so cleaned it up in time.

Today, however, she went in her food bowl, which is a first
