Hi there Barry has started digging around in his sand before he goes to sleep? Is this normal behaviour, he used to sleep on his logs but last few nights he's been getting down on the ground.

Also is it ok to leave uneaten crickets in the Viv? If he doesn't get them straight away they seem to warm up and turn into super fast crickets and he then cannot catch then as easy. Problem I have is I currently feed twice aday (0700/1800) and he doesn't eat then straight away in a morning, could I just feed live once a day ?

How old is he and if possible what doe he weigh? Digging and making a warm bed isn't unusual but leaving crix in the enclosure can be dangerous unless there's a supply of veg for them to feed on rather than the dragon!

Hi - he's about 8 months old, not weighed or measured him yet but will have ago later. Hunted out most the crickets last night and I always leave veg in his bowl for them to eat.

Is it also normal for them to shed skin in 3 distinct zoned areas, first tail followed a week later by his head and feet then his back a week after that.....

As far as shedding is concerned they all seem to differ to some extent and as adults I've even known them to shed one area and then go several weeks before shedding any more - so - yes that's quite normal. :) At 8 months if he's a reasonable size then cutting back to a single feed daily will be ok.
