Over the past week or so Rufus has started to go for me when i put my hand in the viv, he even tries to go for me through the glass! he's not normally like this and nothing has changed. he's also really really active at the mo and tries to get out of the glass and has also started to puff up his beard (never done this before) he's about 5.5 months old, is this just normal 'teenage' behaviour or is something wrong?

It could be a sign of 'teenage' problems. Just ignore it and maybe offer a worm or 2 from your hand so he still knows you are the boss.
Just to be on the safe side have you had his poop checked for parasites?

Do get his poop checked if you haven't done already. However, mine went through a teenage stage at this age which lasted a few weeks and just went away. I would ignore his behaviour for now and he should settle down soon if it's the hormones
