You are right its not a competition, what I was trying to say is that they can eat enormous amounts if they want to and in a short space of time. It also depends on what size crix you using, the smaller the crix the more they will eat and vice versa. Bob just happened to be on a smaller size at that time and when she moved up size she ate less. You may find that one day they will eat a huge amount and then the next few days they eat a reduced amount, again this is perfectly normal.
Each beardie is different and will eat different amounts. The best way to know if you are giving them enough (or even too much) is if their weight increases when young and stabilizes when older.

"we feed 2 crickets in the morning"

Bert is about the same age he eats standard crickets (about 2cm-4cm long). He gets fed for about a 10 min period and will eat anywhere from 5-20 in that time the highest ever being 28 in that period. He gets fed crickets twice a day and has salad to nibble.

You may find you will have to buy crickets more often  and remember it is better to feed 20 crickets no bigger than the space between the lizards eyes than 8 massive monser crickets :D
