Hi really need your advice, having a really difficult time with my bearded dragon. I've had him for 3 weeks and he hardly eats, think he has ate a little bit of cress in that time, not interested in grasshoppers or crickets. I've offered different food in his bowl from butternut squash, peppers , apple even berries and he is just not interested. I thought he was shredding so gave him a bath and been misting him and his colour is brighter but yesterday let him run round the living room for the first time and when I put him back after half an hr he disappeared into his cave and has been there for 24hours now. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. He is approx 3 months old , temp is approx 90 and he has fine blue sand for substrate

Many thanks

Okay up the temps a bit to 40degrees C.

Remove the hide so he is getting UV
If he is a baby it is advisable to remove the sand and if it is calci sand definitely remove it because it can cause impaction

He could just be settling in it can take a few weeks in the meantime I would leave him alone to destress and keep offering him food

Thanks I'll give that ago and stop handling him and leave him be, I'll look at an alternative substrate too as it does get knocked into his food and water easily

This happend to my beardie as well, all he done for the 1st month was just sit there and refuse to eat any food that I put in. But now after 3 months he is runnig around and eating, so I would'nt worry it is just a matter of time. :D
