Nice dragon but you need to get rid of that wood chip. If she swallows one bit it'll clog her gut and she's dead. We've had this happen once on here and I'm aware of a number of cases elsewhere that this has happened.

Definitely agree with Rick before I found this forum our beardie was on wood chip & after finding a couple of chips in his poo I looked online & found it was dangerous! We were lucky he passed them but not worth the risk in my opinion.

If he's hunting well then change to sandstone and playsand. I cover the base with 1/2 ~ 2/3rd sandstone crazy paving style and the balance is playsand. Gives them something to dig in and the sandstone retains heat nicely plus helps keep their nails short.

You can just use kitchen roll or lino if you want something more attractive until they get older & more accurate

Anzac 5 months old Has lino, got an off cut from a local shop for nothing, and I have a sandstone slab over 1 end of the lino his basking area, the lino is fantastic to clean. Forgot to say you don't have to worry about the crickets or locust getting under the lino, like when we used newspaper.
