Just wanted to share how pleased I am! We have now had Ludo for 3, mostly terrifying, weeks but now after all the advice and reading things finally seemed to be getting on an even keel!

When I first got Ludo he was slightly nervous, wouldn't touch his veg and threw a massive strop when switched to crickets from locusts. Now 3 weeks on he has gained two inches and is eating upto 40 locusts a day! He loves his curly kale (although still isn't keen on trying much else), poops every day and has started to become really tame!

He loves coming out of his viv and in the past few days has started running up and down at the door to get attention! When out his favourite thing is to run around and try and climb the wallpaper (it's raised so I think he thinks it's climbable... it's not) he also loves getting right in my hair and will do anything to stay in there.

I just wanted to say thank you as without this website I'd probably still be in that absolutely terrifying early stage of thinking I'm doing everything wrong. Also to everyone brand new - keep going, it's so worth it when everything settles down :)

What a lovely post :D Really glad everything has settled down for you. I remember when we first got Oz and we spent (well, me mostly and my husband telling me to relax about it!) quite a few weeks being paranoid about everything connected with him and the set up. As the settle into their new home you do relax and just get on with it!

I'm glad he is settling in and he sounds like he is turning into a nice friendly beardie.
I actually think its worse then bringing a baby up as you have no grandparents/health visitor etc to help you or to turn to for advice, which is why we joined this forum. So pleased we have helped you in the first few weeks :P
