Dimensions (mm): Width 1150, Depth 490, Height 434

1 x Vivexotic Viva Bearded Dragon Vivarium, 1 x Exo Terra Sun Glo Basking Lamp 100W, 1 x Exo Terra T8 Ballast Unit 30W, 1 x Exo Terra Medium Glo Light, 2 x Exo Terra Digital Thermometers, 1 x Exo Terra Repti Glo 10% Fluorescent Bulb 30W,1 x Exo Terra Repti Glo 2% Fluorescent Bulb 30W, 2 x Sandpaper Mats

Anyone who knows this viv, I only put the top left shelf in, have logs along the bottom reaching up towards basking lamp area, tube lights are attached to the top and span the viv.

That's all the info about my viv, when I got the fluorescent bulbs they suggested switching to t5 lighting when I replaced them. Can I fit different sized bulbs in this viv so the bulb doesn't stretch the whole way across inside (as stated in lighting topics!) could I use a normal shape bulb t5 uvb in the basking area instead?

What do I do for the best for Lairy as I am worried about getting it wrong!

If you use the Arcadia T5 12% UV you can fit a shorter one at the basking end. I use 600 mm tubes in my enclosures and they are all 1200 mm in length.

Thanks Rick.

That would replace the current reptiglo 10.0, do I just put another reptiglo 2.0 strip in the front alongside that? And will I still need a separate bulb in the overhead basking spot?

Sorry for so many questions! Don't trust the pet shop to be spot on!

Basically all you need is one 600 mm Arcadia T5 12% near the basking spot. In addition a spotlight (Phillips RO80 75 watt or similar) to provide the heat source. No other lighting/heating required. If you can't get the T5 12% I believe Arcadia also produce a compact version - again just the one UV source placed so as to provide maximum exposure around the basking spot. Research is starting to show that dragons also need an area away from UV exposure at times.
I have one 600 mm T5 plus a single GU10 spotlight in each of my 1200mm vivs these provide all the heating, light and UV required.
