Hi all
I messaged in June to say Oscar doesn't bask or move about much any more, its now peak summer and Oscar doesn't move from the bottom of his tank unless I pick him up. Is anyone else's dragon basically sleeping 24/7? I know that the usual thing is to get a float test but as Oscar doesn't eat he also doesn't poo so this option is practically impossible. I have taken him into the garden to give him pure sunshine in the hope this brightens him up but as soon as he's back in his viv he goes back to the floor, any ideas anyone please?

Other than a vet visit I can't really suggest anything. Lifting the temps a little (39~42C is good) and providing a bright white light to bask under have probably already been suggested. What is the temp where he sits?

Hi Rick
Thanks for coming back, Oscar basks under 92-93 as a normal, but doesn't and wont bask at all for a couple of months, we put him under his heat lamp and he sits a while and occasionally eats some roaches on his way back to the floor (though not for a couple of weeks now). The temp was over 100 today to see if it encouraged him but we've had no response, he doesn't seem unwell in his behaviour when he's out and sat with us or in the run ion the garden so we're all very puzzled.
Not sure I'd really know where to take him to a vets locally, would have to investigate to find someone with reptile knowledge unless anyone on here can help with that please? I'm based north Bristol (yate side).
Thanks again for any help:)

Sorry I can't be of more help other than to say that males are pretty lazy on a good day.
